Jolt Jolt was one of the forerunners of the energy drinks we know today; in the 1980s they made high-caffeine sodas. Nowadays they have a full line of energy products, and their drinks now contain a full-fledged energy blend. Blue Size: 16oz can Location Acquired: Giant, Binghamton, NY Location in Collection: The Cube Taste Rating: 7/10 Energy Rating: 4/10 Review: This is a cotton-candy blue raspberry flavor; frothily carbonated, with a clear, refreshing aftertaste. Energy was pretty good, just a caffeine rush. Later renamed Blue Raspberry. Cherry Bomb Size: 24oz can Location Acquired: Sheetz, Clarks Summit, PA Location in Collection: The Freakshow Taste Rating: 8/10 Energy Rating: 4/10 Review: Instead of a cherry drink, this is a cherry cola, or a Dr. Pepperish flavor. Same hollow, clear aftertaste, with a moderate caffeine rush of energy. Endurance Shot Size: 2oz bottle Location Acquired: Hess Express, Vestal, NY Location in Collection: The Shots Taste Rating: 5/10 Energy Rating: 4/10 Review: This grape flavored shot is a little more than your average energy shot. 200mg caffeine and a tasty flavor make for a powerful, tasty, kick. Energy Gum Icymint Size: Pack of gum Location Acquired: Sheetz, Clarks Summit, PA Location in Collection: The Highrise Taste Rating: 8/10 Energy Rating: 4/10 Review: This is a peppermint-like energy gum; with every two pieces providing a cup of coffee's worth of caffeine. It has a bit of a caffeine aftertaste, but it's quite good. Energy is nice. Energy Gum Spearmint Size: Pack of gum Location Acquired: Sheetz, Clarks Summit, PA Location in Collection: The Highrise Taste Rating: 8/10 Energy Rating: 4/10 Review: Same gum, but spearmint flavored. Aftertaste is still there, but the energy is good. Energy Mints Size: Tin of mints Location Acquired: Sheetz, Clarks Summit, PA Location in Collection: The Highrise Taste Rating: 8/10 Energy Rating: 3/10 Review: The flavor is called mint flurry; it's a sweet peppermint. I believe every 5 or 6 mints is a cup of coffee's caffeine; the aftertaste is less prevalent than in the gum, although the energy is less. Sprite-like in flavor, moderate energy.
